Frequently Asked Questions...
Q:
How do I get started?
A: I will contact you to discuss your painting
project in more detail. I will visit your home and review
your painting project and provide you an estimate. Assuming
you agree, a date will be arranged to begin the project. We
are in the business of painting homes, but finding the best
solution given your needs, is our primary concern. All consultations
we provide are always complimentary, whether we come to an
agreement or not.
Q: How much money can I expect to pay for my
painting project?
A: There are many factors to consider when determining
painting costs. Condition of surface, size of project, and
the complexity of the refinishing itself all factor into the
price of the project. You can feel confident when you deal
with us that you will get a fair price.
Q: How long will
it take to paint my house?
A: This depends on the condition of your surfaces, the
type of work required, and weather conditions if the project
involves exterior work. During our consultation with you,
we will evaluate your situation and let you know how long
we think it will take to complete your painting project.
Q: How long will my paint
job last?
A: Generally up to 10 years before a full repaint with
one or two touch-ups in between.
The sunny side and areas that were more weathered won't last
as long. Keep in mind, much of the work initially done by;
us will not have to be repeated in future repaints, eg.re-sanding,
priming and caulking all the trim.
Q: What type of paint do you
apply?
A: I have been using Kelly Moore paint for many years,
but if the custiomer has a preference for another brand, then
that is the paint I will use.
Q: Do you guarantee your work?
A: If we do anything wrong, it is our responsibility
to fix it at no charge. I can guarantee our work, but I can't
guarantee your wood. Because of what has or has not been done
to the surface in years past, it effects the paint-worthiness.
Q: How to you price your work?
A: We work on an "estimate basis". Because
no one likes surprises, a 'not to exceed' figure is given,
when possible.
Q: Are you, the owner, on
the job site?
A: All day, every day. My 30+ years in the painting
industry bring a useful resource to produce a quality finished
product. With all the dynamics of any project, this onsite,
single source responsibility allows the job to flow more smoothly.
